This outfit was inspired by a design of Pete Menefee’s worn by Florence Henderson as Carol Brady in The Brady Bunch Hour (1977) 💖 A year earlier in 1976 Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith wore dresses of a similar vibe for “Inside Television: ABC ‘76”. Those dresses were designed by Nolan Miller. Jaclyn also wore her dress in the Charlie’s Angels episode “Lady Killer” that same year.
The gown is made of a vintage acetate lurex which drapes and shimmers beautifully. The straps are adorned with vintage Italian sequins. And the boa is made of a soft and flowy 1970s tulle.
